New Hope Girls

A year and a half ago, Michelle used her love for dogs and started her own dog walking business, called Michelle’s Pack which has been very successful. It was a great experience for Michelle and filled a need for our family, and even though Michelle is known amongst our friends as the dog whisperer, she is excited for our new adventure. God has gifted Michelle with a caring heart and a desire to help others, and her gifts will be fully used in Santiago. There are no shortage of opportunities for Michelle to be involved in missions, but the one that has really struck Michelle is New Hope Girls. It is a school in the barrios (slums) of La Vega in which young girls are given quality education, health care and a support system that equips them to avoid the bondage and sexual perversion that is so common to adolescent girls in the DR. Those working at the school walk alongside these girls and encourage them to find a relationship with God and the hope and freedom that He offers.
