The workshop

As you can see, the women are in need of storage. We have come up with some ideas for organization but really need totes to accomplish this. They are VERY expensive here......

One of the totes above costs $30!!!! We need about 20 of them. Can you spare $30??? If so, you can make a donation through us http://sijpheer.yolasite.com/support-us.php and you will receive a tax receipt. Any little bit would be greatly appreciated! They need a place to store unfinished and finished product.......see below.

Downtown Market

July 21, 2012

This was not a very pleasant experience for me! LOL It was chaotic and smelly and just plain crazy! I will be perfectly happy buying our fruit at a streetside vender near our home and our veggies I'll get at the supermarket. This pic is a very quiet area of the market as we were leaving. I'm sorry I didn't get a picture of the central hub of it. I'm sure James will enjoy the market when he gets a chance to go down.

Our new friend "Jason"

July 16, 2012

This friendly guy found us on the beach one day during our vacation. We believe he has cerebral palsy. He was SO much fun to hang out with. James took him swimming and he played with the boys on the beach. We figured out through our language barrier that his father passed away and his mom lives in town. Lots of people in the community know who he is and they all just watch out for him:0)

A year and a half ago, Michelle  used her love for dogs and started her own dog walking business, called Michelle’s Pack which has been very successful.  It was a great experience for Michelle and filled a need for our family, and even though Michelle is known amongst our friends as the dog whisperer, she is excited for our new adventure.  God has gifted Michelle with a  caring heart and a desire to help others, and her gifts will be fully used in Santiago.  There are no shortage of opportu...
